There are two ways to get started:
Jason’s Deli is an award-winning, family-owned café and deli chain that has been operating since the 1970s. They offer a variety of salads, soups, potatoes, sandwiches, and more. They provide both a gluten-free menu and a vegan menu. Vegan options include the spinach veggie wrap (request no cheese) and organic blue corn tortilla chips with hummus, guacamole, or salsa. Additionally, they offer a wide selection of salad bar choices, including organic vegetables, crackers, and dressings.
Sunshine Juice Co. is a laid-back café offering a variety of juices, healthy snacks, and food to enjoy on-site or to go. Originally starting as a stall at local farmers’ markets and festivals, this Evansville shop now serves an array of fresh, healthy juices, cleanses, smoothies, and plant-based wraps, soups, and salads. All juices are organic and cold-pressed, and the food and beverages are made using fresh, local ingredients whenever available and in season.
At Zoup!, you’ll find a wide selection of award-winning soups, with 12 varieties rotating daily. Their offerings include soups that are low-fat, vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, spicy, and made with gluten-free ingredients, each served with a piece of freshly baked bread. The menu also features made-to-order salads and sandwiches.
Yes, Emily is licensed to practice as a registered dietitian and nutritionist in Evansville.
Dietitian:
Dietitians, who must hold a college degree and receive specialized training, are required to pass a comprehensive exam from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). To maintain their “Registered Dietitian” (RD) or “Registered Dietitian Nutritionist” (RDN) title, they must also engage in continuous education.
Nutritionist:
The term “nutritionist” is less regulated, with individuals using the title having varied educational backgrounds. In some regions, the title can be used by anyone, regardless of their educational or professional training.
Note: Our plant-based telehealth team members are all federally accredited registered dietitians, meeting stringent educational and CDR exam standards.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are currently only providing consultations online via Zoom.
This decision is based on the understanding that our plant-based clientele represents a smaller subset.
Our primary goal is to broaden our support to reach a wider audience across Indianapolis, with a special focus on plant-based nutrition.

A vegan doctor can prescribe medications, order blood tests, and address severe vitamin deficiencies with high-dose supplements such as B12, vitamin D, and iron.
In contrast, a vegan nutritionist focuses on modifying your diet and eating habits to prevent deficiencies and manage chronic diseases. They ensure your nutritional needs, including iodine, omega-3, calcium, magnesium, and zinc, are met through dietary adjustments and offer practical advice based on your eating patterns.
For advice on adjusting your plant-based diet, consult plant-based nutrition experts and dietitians.
For medical assessments, lab tests, or prescriptions, seek guidance from plant-based doctors.
Yes, plant-based telehealth is as effective as in-office visits with a plant-based nutritionist.
Plant-Based Dietitians Ltd operates exclusively online, enabling individuals to save on travel time and allowing clients to be at home where they can easily show valuable information such as foods, supplements, and dishware that impact their eating habits.
Additionally, many of our clients appreciate the convenience of conducting their online consultations with their plant-based nutritionist while at work.
