There are two ways to get started:
Loving Cafe’s mission is to provide affordable, healthy vegan cuisine. Our staff is united by a shared goal of serving the public with an earth-friendly dining experience that promotes high standards of personal, community, and planetary health, embodying harmony with all living beings.
Three Fires Pizza offers both regular and gluten-free vegan crusts. They can substitute vegan cheese on any pizza or dish that typically includes cheese. Try one of their specialty pizzas, like the Vegan 800 with “sausage and ricotta” or the vegan Thai pizza with peanut sauce! Both options use seasoned cauliflower instead of meat and are incredibly delicious. They also feature a vegan pepperoni pizza made with pepperoni from Sea Salt & Cinnamon.
Mercado on the Landing offers two vegan tacos – the Hongo Al Pastor made with mushrooms and the Falafel My Homies with pinto bean falafel. Both can be enjoyed with beans and rice, which are vegan. As a scratch kitchen, Mercado can customize dishes to meet your needs. Try enchiladas with falafel or black beans instead of meat, or create a fajita bowl with the vegan Al Pastor. They are very accommodating. Don’t forget to order the Johnny Boy Brussels, minus the cotija cheese!
Save the date for the Fort Wayne Veg ‘n Brew Fest on October 5, 2019, at Headwater’s Park in Fort Wayne, IN. Yes, Emily is licensed to practice as a registered dietitian and nutritionist in Fort Wayne.
Dietitian:
Dietitians, who must hold a college degree and receive specialized training, are required to pass a comprehensive exam from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). To maintain their “Registered Dietitian” (RD) or “Registered Dietitian Nutritionist” (RDN) title, they must also engage in continuous education.
Nutritionist:
The term “nutritionist” is not as strictly regulated, meaning individuals with varied educational backgrounds can use the title. In some areas, anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, regardless of their educational or professional training.
Note: Our plant-based telehealth team members are all federally accredited registered dietitians, meeting stringent educational and CDR exam standards.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are currently only offering consultations online via Zoom.
This decision is based on the understanding that our plant-based clientele represents a smaller subset.
Our primary goal is to expand our support to reach a broader audience across Fort Wayne, with a particular focus on plant-based nutrition.
Yes, we provide insurance receipts at the end of each session.

A vegan doctor can prescribe medications, order blood tests, and address severe vitamin deficiencies with high-dose supplements like B12, vitamin D, and iron.
On the other hand, a vegan nutritionist focuses on adjusting your diet and eating habits to prevent deficiencies and manage chronic diseases. They ensure your nutritional needs—including iodine, omega-3, calcium, magnesium, and zinc—are met through dietary changes and provide practical advice based on your eating patterns.
For guidance on adjusting your plant-based diet, consult with plant-based nutrition experts and dietitians.
For medical assessments, lab tests, or prescriptions, seek advice from plant-based doctors.
Yes, plant-based telehealth is just as effective as in-office visits with a plant-based nutritionist.
Plant-Based Dietitians Ltd operates exclusively online, allowing individuals to save travel time and enabling clients to be at home, where they can easily share valuable information such as foods, supplements, and dishware that impact their eating habits.
Moreover, many of our clients appreciate the convenience of having their online consultations with their plant-based nutritionist while at work.
