Vegan CNY advocates for the freedom of all animals by educating the public about animal rights philosophy, addressing specific animal issues, highlighting instances of exploitation and abuse, and providing support to the advocacy community. They are a non-profit organization that serves many cities in the state of New York.
VLP is a free educational initiative that explores the methods and reasons for adopting a vegan lifestyle in a community setting. Participants commit to a vegan lifestyle throughout the program and receive support from volunteer Vegan Coaches and our educational curriculum. Many aspects of veganism such as nutrition insights, cooking guidance, meal planning tips, and navigating a non-vegan environment are touched on.

Dietitians require a college degree and special training. They must pass a comprehensive test from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and engage in ongoing learning to maintain their “Registered Dietitian” (RD) or “Registered Dietitian Nutritionist” (RDN) title.
Nutritionist:
In contrast, the term “nutritionist” is less strict, meaning anyone with a varied educational backgrounds can use the title. In some places, it is available to anyone regardless of their educational or professional training.
Note: Our plant-based consultation team members are all federally accredited registered dietitians, meeting stringent educational and CDR exam standards.
Our primary goal is to extend our assistance on the plant-based vegan nutrition approach to a broader and more diverse audience within New York state. Consequently, our consultations are currently only online sessions conducted exclusively through Zoom.
Yes, we can provide insurance receipts. There will be a “superbill” with Lisamarie’s license number to practice in New York as a registered dietitian and nutritionist.
